Assam government will provide special incentive to the eligible candidates who have qualified for appearing in APSC/UPSC mains examination 2025. Online application link is active now. Eligible candidates can apply for this scheme “financial assistance to ST students before last date 31 October 2025 through the website https://dids.astam.gov.in.
Online applications for financial assistance to ST students are now open for financial assistance under the scheme “Financial Assistance to Scheduled Tribes (Plain) students of Assam who have shortlisted for appearing in the mains examination of Union Public Service Commission or Assam Public Service Commission for the year 2025-26. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes (Plain) of Assam will be apply online through DIDS official website at https://dids.astam.gov.in for the academic year 2025-2026.
Eligibility criteria
The eligible candidates can apply online through the official portal before the last date. Followings are the eligibility criteria for financial assistance to students of Assam.
- Candidates must belong to Scheduled Tribes (ST) (Plain) community of Assam.
- They must have passed the UPSC preliminary examination conducted on 25 May 2025 OR candidates should have passed the APSC preliminary examination conducted on 08 June 2025.
- Those candidates who have got the benefit in previous years will not be eligible to apply for the same.
- There shall be no income limit for availing this financial assistance to ST students.
