Scale of Pay: – Pay scale (Rs.22,000 /- to 97,000 ) + Grade Pay (Rs.10,300/- ) + Other allowances as admissible to the Assam State Government employees from time to time (per month).
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship- Indian
- Permanent resident of Assam (Candidates must upload PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange certificate as proof of residency.
- Age Criteria: The examinee should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 years of age as on 01 January 2025.
- In addition, the relaxation of age for SC/ST is 5 years, OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Science or Engineering from a recognized University with at least in one of the following subjects-
- Agriculture
- Botany
- Chemistry
- Computer Applications/ Computer Science
- Engineering (Agriculture/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical)
- Environmental Science
- Forestry
- Geology

Physical Standard for height and chest girth
- Minimum hight for GEN/OBC/MOBC/SC male candidates is 163 cm and for female 150 CM.
- Minimum hight for ST (H), ST (P) male is 152 cm and female 145 cm.
- The normal chest for male is 79 cm and expansion 05 cm
- Normal chest for female is 74 cm and expansion 05 cm.
Application fee
The assam forest ranger recruitment 2025 application fee for general category is Rs.297.20, for OBC/MOBC Rs.197.20 and for SC/ST/BPL category is 47.20 only. Applicants must pay the fee for Assam forest ranger recruitment online on or before 22 July 2025.
