Assam Gunotsav 2023 District Wise Date and Guidelines

Assam Gunotsav 2023 is going to be held from January 18 in three phases. The first phase covering 11 districts, second phase 14 districts and in the third phase 8 Districts will be evaluated accordingly. The complete schedule of Gunotsav Assam 2023 is available on this page below.

Assam Gunotsav Date 2023

The Education Department of Assam has already released the date of gunotsav for all the phases.  

As we know the gunotsav 2023 is going to be completed in three phases. The first phase of Assam gunotsav is starting from 18th January 2023 and second phase is starting from 1 February 2023 and the third phase is starting from 15th February 2023. The activity to be organized in schools according to the date of gunotsav as mentioned officially. The important date and the activities to be performed in schools are discussed below.

Gunotsav 2023

The Gunotsav is an initiative of the Assam  Government which focuses mainly on the assessment of learning outcomes of children in order to  identifying the learning gaps and subsequently designing remedial measures for improvement. After successfully conducted gunotsav the schools are provided grades as per the performance of the students and schooling system. The schools have to perform the gunotsav in different dates in their respective phases. Self evaluation, scholastic co- scholastic events dates are given in the following table.

Gunotsav 2023 Marking System 

There will be two types of evaluation in gunotsav 2023.

  1. Self-Evaluation
  2. External Evaluation 

The evaluation will consist of scholastic, co-scholastics and community participation covering Class I to IX and based on the performance of students assessment will be made. Accordingly schools will be evaluated based on 90% on Scholastic, 5%  on Co-scholastics and 5% on Community participation. 

It may be mentioned that the question papers have also been set or prepared on the basis of Learning Outcomes. After analysing the learning levels and identifying the learning gaps, suitable strategic action plan is expected to be designed in order to improve if necessary.

What is Assam Gunotsav 2023 ?

The Gunotsav is a positive initiative of the Assam Government which focuses mainly on assessment of learning outcomes of children of I to I. Through this gunotsav examination, assess the learning outcomes for identifying learning gaps and subsequently designing remedial measures for improvement.

Last year in 2022, Gunotsav has been scheduled in the month of May and June, in three phases. Subsequently in 2023 the gunotsav is going to be begin from 18th January 2023 in three phases as well.  There will be self-evaluation followed by External evaluation. The evaluation having  scholastic, co-scholastics and community participation covering Class I to IX and based on the performance of students assessment will be done.  It may be mentioned that the evaluation tools such as question papers have also been prepared on the basis of the Learning Outcomes of children.  After analysing the learning levels and identifying the learning difficulty, learning gaps, suitable strategic action plan is expected to be designed to improve, where necessary.
