Assam Police Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the vacancy, candidate must fulfill the certain eligibility criteria which are as following-
- Nationality– Applicants must be Indian Citizen along with it he/she should be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Applicants must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
- Candidates must know Assamese or any other State language fluently.
- Age– Candidates should be in between 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2024 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2006 and on or after 01.01.1984.
Age Relaxations: Upper age limit will be relaxed for:
- 5 years in respect of applicants belonging to SC, ST (P) and ST (H).
- 3 years in respect of applicants belonging to OBC/MOBC.
- 2 years additionally in respect of Candidates belonging to Ex-Servicemen category.
Educational qualification
- He/She should have passed H.S.L.C or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council.
Other Qualification (for candidates except Ex-Servicemen): Home Guard Certificate or Minimum NCC ‘A’ Certificate.
Note: The candidates having H.S.L.C. passed certificate but not possessing Home Guards Training Certificate or minimum NCC ‘A’ Certificate are not eligible to apply.

How to Apply for Assam police Constable Recruitment 2024?
To apply for the post of Assam Police Recruitment 2024, candidates can visit the website www.slprbassam.in. No other forms of Application will be received except online. After visit the link, follow the steps as giving below.
- First complete the registration process in the Portal using basic details along with a valid mobile number.
- After successful registration you will get a Recruitment ID.
- Login the page, and fill the online form
- Upload all he necessary documents such as
- Passport size photograph
- Signature
- Etc.
- Recheck the filled application form and then click on the submit button.
- Then take a printout of the form for future use.

- Certificate of proof of age. You can upload Admit card or Certificate of H.S.L.C.

Assam Police Selection Process 2024
- Candidates whose applications are found correct in all respect will have to undergo the Physical Standards Tests (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET).
- Physical Standard Test
- Written Examination Test
- Oral or Viva Voce.
SLPRB Exam Pattern and Marks
The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 40 marks. It will have 2 events such as for:
i) Male Candidates
- Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 3200 meters race to be completed within 14 minutes (840 seconds).
- Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).
b) Female Candidates
- Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 1600 meters race to be completed within 08 minutes.
- Long Jump: Minimum 244 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).
Written Examination
- Written test will consist of 100 multiple choice type questions to be answered on an OMR answer sheet. For each correct answer the Candidate will get half mark. Total marks for the Written Test will be 50. There will be no negative marking.
- The subjects to be covered will be as follows: –
- Elementary Arithmetic
- General English
- Logical reasoning/Mental ability
- Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy
- General Awareness/General Knowledge and current affairs
- The question paper for Written Exam will be in the following languages: Assamese/ Bodo/ Bengali/English.
- Written Test will be conducted at Guwahati. The date and venue of the written test will be notified in due course.
Oral / Viva Voce- 5 Marks
Pay Scale
The for the post of Constable (Grade III) is Rs. 14000 – 60500/- with Grade Pay Rs.5600/- (PB-2) and other Allowances, as admissible under the rules.

The Final results would be based on the marks obtained as follows:
