Assam TET Eligibility 2022: To appear in Assam Teacher eligibility Test a candidate must fulfill the Assam Tet eligibility criteria 2024. The eligibility Criteria for Lower primary and Upper Primary as mentioned below.

For Lower Primary (Class I to V)

Candidate appearing for Assam TET 2022 Lower Primary must fulfill the below eligibility Criteria. So read the following points and make sure you fulfill the guideline before filling up the Assam TET Application form 2022.

  1. Candidate should pass Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination with at least 50% marks. And two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.ED).
  2. Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 Percentage of marks and four years Bachelor of Elementary Education.
  3. The Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 percentages of marks. And two years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  4. Graduation of any stream science, arts or commerce and 2- years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.ED).  
  5. OR Graduation with at least 50 percentage of marks. And Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) attained from any NCTE recognized institution will be considered for appointment as a primary teacher. However the candidate needs to do a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education. That is recognised by the NCTE within two years after he/she is appointed as a primary teacher.
  6.  Aspirant who is pursuing and having Admit Card of final year examination of any of the professional courses like B.Ed , D.EL.Ed from a institution (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI. As the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February, 2011, may also eligible to apply for TET Exam. However the candidate can apply for post as a teacher only after he/she completed all the required qualification.

Eligibility Criteria For Upper Primary TET Assam (Class 6 to 8)

Assam TET Eligibility 2022: To be eligible to apply Assam Tet exam 2022. Candidate should fulfill any one of the following Eligibility criteria as mentioned below.

  1. Candidate must have passed Graduation degree with at least 50% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.ED) Degree.
  2. Or those who have passed graduation degree with less than 50% marks they must have Post graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed.
  3. Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and four years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).
  4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A. /B. Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed/B. Sc. Ed.
  5. Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed. (Special Education)
  6. Aspirant who is pursuing and having Admit Card of final year examination of any of the professional courses like B.Ed , D.EL.Ed from a institution. (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February, 2011. may also eligible to apply for TET Exam. However the candidate can apply for post as a teacher only after he/she completed all the required qualification.

Note: Minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not be applicable to those applicants, who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or equivalent course prior to the 29th July, 2011.

  • In addition to this a Candidate must be an Indian citizen to apply for Assam Teacher Eligibility Test.
  • The age limit should be in between 18 to 38 years.
  • However 5 year of age relaxation is given for SC/ST category applicants.

Relaxation

The following rules will be applicable as relaxation for the Teacher Eligibility Test Assam 2022.

  1. Relaxation up to 5 % in the academic marks in HSSLC or Graduation shall be applicable for the aspirants who are belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD/PH. (The degree of handicap in case of PH candidates should be minimum 40% and to be certified by the competent authority) both for Paper-I (LP Level) and Paper-II (UP Level).

2.  For Paper 1, lower primary the relaxation up to 5% in HSSLC marks shall be applicable for the aspirants who were admitted in 2 Year D.El.Ed course before 31/08/2009 as per NCTE Notification No. F.51-1/2009-NCTE (N&S) dated 31st August 2009 and qualified 2-Year D.El.Ed subsequently.

3. For Paper 2 Upper Primary the relaxation up to 5% in Graduation marks shall be applicable for candidates who were admitted in 1 Year B.Ed. degree before 31/08/2009 as per NCTE Notification No. F.51-1/2009-NCTE (N&S) dated 31st August 2009 and qualified 1-Year B.Ed course subsequently.
