Assam University has announced official notification inviting online applications for PhD entrance exam through the official website ausexamination.ac.in. Check eligibility criteria, exam date and apply for Assam University PhD entrance exam for the session 2025.

The registration process for admission to the Ph D program in Assam University, Silchar and Diphu Campus from the academic session 2025-26 is ongoing. Interested candidate can apply for Ph D. Programme in maximum of two allied departments. However, separate application should be submitted for each with necessary application fees. The entrance test and viva voce for the shortlisted candidates will be held on 7 November 2025.

Selection Process
The selection process for PhD Admission 2025 involves an entrance examination followed by an interview/Viva Voce. The qualified candidates will be calle d for viva voice to assess their research aptitude and area of interest and other areas. The candidate who has qualified GATE, CSIR / UGC NET etc. may be exempte d entrance test and seat directly for interview.

Assam University PhD Entrance Merit List 2025
The Assam University PhD entrance test and viva voce of all shortlisted candidates will be conducted on 07 November 2025. The Assam university will release the first merit list for PhD admission on 12 November 2025 at the university website.
Those candidates who are selecting in the first merit list, their admission will be conduct from 12th to 14th November 2025 at department level. If any seats remain vacant then second merit list will also be release on 19 November and admission from 2nd merit list start from 19th to 24th November 2025.
