Eligibility Criteria

(a) Candidate with at least 50% marks (in Aggregate) either in the Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities; OR Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology of Dibrugarh University, or any other University recognized by Dibrugarh University with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme. 

a) A candidate securing 50% marks or more in the Honours / Major subject but less than 50 % in aggregate in all the courses / papers of the Bachelor’s degree will not be eligible for admission to B.Ed. programme, as the requirement is 50% marks in the aggregate.

(b) Candidate must clear the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test conducted by the University for the current session.

Reservation in the eligibility criteria  

 Relaxation of marks upto 5% in the qualifying marks to the following candidates.

1. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD categories.                                 
2. Teacher candidates with minimum of five years teaching experience in a school recognized up to 10th standard by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam.

Note: A candidate can avail the benefit of relaxation of marks only in any one of the above categories either (1 or 2).

How to fill Up B.Ed Entrance Application Form?

• First visit the official website of dibrugarh university at www.dibru.ac.in
• Register on the portal of B.Ed CET with name, mobile number and password
• Remember the password it will be require d to login again
• Login and click Con “Apply” button and fill up the application form
• Upload necessary documents
• Check all the information is correct and click on “pay and submit” button
• Then pay the application fee and submit thr form
• Download the application form for future purpose.
• Candidates must remember to apply before the last date as the window will automatically close after last date.

Important Note: The University shall not verify the eligibility of a candidate at the time of receiving their Application Forms and issuing Admit Card to them. The candidates not fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria shall not be debarre d from appearing the B.Ed. CET, 2026 .

However, their candidature shall not be considere d at the time of admission to the B.Ed. Programmes conducted by Dibrugarh University and its affiliated colleges. Hence, the intending candidates need to ensure themselves regarding fulfillment of the minimum eligibility for admission into the B.Ed. Programme.
