The Common Entrance Test (GUBEDCET 2025) will be held in July 2025 (Tentatively). The GUBEDCET application process will start from June 1st week and continue till July first week 2025. Last year, Gauhati University has conducted entrance exam on 14th July 2024 and application process started from 17 June and ends on 2nd July 2024. A candidate must qualify the GUBEDCET examination to enroll in 2 years B.Ed course in the Academic Session 2025-2026 in various colleges in Assam affiliated to Guwahati University. Every year a huge number of applicants appear in GU B.Ed Entrance exam. Only a minimum number of candidate be able to get B.Ed admission under Gauhati University. As there are limited seat capacity to enroll 2 years B.Ed course.

Eligibility criteria for GUBEDCET 2025
Only the candidates who fulfill the required Eligibility Criteria prescribed by National Counsel for Teacher Education (NCTE) can seat in gauhati university bed entrance 2024. A candidate must check the eligibility criteria before filling up the application form.

- A candidate may be allowed to appear in the GUBEDCET-2025 that he/she has passed the B.A / B.Sc. / B.Com. or MA/ MSc/M.Com or equivalent degree programmed from a recognized Board/University with at least 50% marks (or 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PW
- All the candidates who are appearing final year of examination can also apply the same.
NOTE: Eligibility criteria will be verified by the respective colleges/institution before admission. A candidate can’t claim B.Ed admission without fulfilling the eligibility criteria of NCTE though his/her name appears in the merit list prepared by Gauhati University.

POINTS TO BE REMEMBER:
- Examination time 2 hours 30 minutes.
- There will be 100 questions that consists 400 marks in total.
- All questions will be of MCQ type with four alternative choices of which only one answer will be the correct option
- For every right answer, 4 marks will be awarde d and for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducte d. There will no marking for un-attempted question.
