All the candidate whose name appears in the Gauhati University merit list may not get Bed admission in Bed College affiliated to Gauhati University. So the applicants must be very careful during college selection. There are around 38 Bed colleges under GU. And the seat capacity is limited in each college. Though more than two thousand students appear in GU bed common Entrance Exam every year. The name of every students and their marks appears in the GUBEDCET results in rank wise. So you have to score a good rank in the list. If your name appears in the gubedcet merit list it is not the final step of bed admission.In addition to this, After the declaration of entrance result you have to apply in Bed College you wish to take admission. GU B.Ed Entrance Merit list 2023
The Merit list (result) of GUBEDCET 2023 will be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance Test. In case of two or more candidates obtain equal marks, merit of such candidates shall be decided as in the following
- Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. students with higher absolute value of the ratio will provide better rank.
- Resolution by number of unanswered questions. Candidate with less number of unattempted questions will provide better rank.
- If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates with higher age will provide better rank.
- Reservation and relaxation policy will be as per existing GU norms.
- Eligibility criteria will be verified by the respective colleges/institution before admission. A student can’t claim a seat who doesn’t fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned by NCTE though his/her name appears in the merit list of Gauhati University. College/Institution will be responsible for such anomalies detected later on.

GU b.ed result 2023 (Counselling Process)
After the declaration of gubedcet result 2023, the counselling process for bed admission 2023-2025 will be started accordingly. Moreover, the process of counselling considers the allotment of seat from Open and reserved category lists.
There are approx 38 B.Ed colleges affiliated to Gauhati University to run the B.Ed. course. Candidates have to select the college preference in which college he/she wants to take bed admission. A candidate may select many number of college. But a candidate must select a minimum of one B.Ed college. However, a candidate will not be considered for admission without selection of college preference.
After declaration of GUBEDCET Result, candidates have to take part in counceling process. It means candidates have to apply in b.ed colleges as per their preference within the time period as decided by that particular institution. After that, the college will prepare merit list category wise. If you rank good, your name will be mentioned in the merit list. However, the different college may vary the different cut off marks. The cut off marks depends on the seat capacity, number of candidates apply in the same college, rank of applied candidates etc. once you are selecte d in merit list, you are able to take B.Ed admission as per the college norms.
