Is nios valid for assam LP UP Post 2024? The Director of Elementary Education, Assam has released an official notification on 2^nd January 2024, the notification. No. E 383723/121, regarding the N.I.O.S D.El.Ed candidates. As the Assam Teachers Recruitment 2024, for the post of LP  and UP is going on. Candidates having NIOS D.El.Ed Certificate, should  read the official notification the link is attached below.

What is  NIOS D.El.Ed ?

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is a national board of education for distance education. The NIOS DElEd is a diploma in elementary education, distance course For Primary & Upper Primary Teachers.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) offers a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) program, which is commonly know n as NIOS Deled. This course is designed for untrained in-service teachers working in LP or (UP) upper primary schools. The program is primarily envisioned for in-service teachers who have not undergone formal training in elementary education.

Is NIOS D.El.Ed Valid for LP UP Teachers Recruitment, Assam 2024

As per the notification, published by DEE, candidates having deled from NIOS is not valid for DEE LP UP recruitment as NIOS DELED Notice stated:

“It is for the information of all concerned that the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam has published Advertisement-A and Advertisement-B for the recruitment of teachers in LP and UP Schools vide No. 383723/117 Dated 26/12/2023 and 383723/124 Dated 26/12/2023. The advertisements were prepare d and published in compliance with the order passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 28/11/2023 in Civil Appeals arising out of SLP(C) Nos.23583-84/2022 and 23943/2022 wherein it is state d that

 the qualification of 18-month Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) acquired from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is no longer a valid qualification to be eligible for fresh recruitment to the post of teachers.

This has the approval of the Govt. in Department of School Education in eFile No. 383723 dated 01.01.2023. All other terms and conditions of the Advertisements mentioned above will remain the same.
