The Sibsagar College of Teachers Education (Joysagar) has released the list of selected candidates for B.Ed Admission 2023-25. The online process has started the B.Ed admission process for the academic session 2023-25. The eligible candidates are invited for admission to the B. Ed. programme for the academic session 2023-2025. The application form can be downloaded from the  official website www.sibcte.in or collected from the office of the college during office hours from 14^th July to 26^th July 2023.  The candidates can avail the admission form from official website as well as from the college and submit the filled form along with the necessary documents before the last date as mentioned by the college. Eligibility Criteria

1.  Candidate with at least 50% marks in aggregate either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Commerce/Social Sciences/Humanities.

or

Bachelor in Engineering/Technology of Dibrugarh University, or any other University recognized by Dibrugarh University with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme.

2.  The Candidate must clear the B. Ed. Common Entrance Test 2023 which is conducted by Dibrugarh University.

Note: A candidate securing more than 50% marks in Major subject but less than 50 % in aggregate in all the courses/papers will not be eligible for admission, as the requirement is 50% marks in the aggregate.

Relaxation

 A relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks shall be provided to the applicants in the eligibility criteria to the following candidates.

• Candidates, belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD categories.
• The candidates having a minimum of 5 (five) years teaching experience in a school recognized at least up to the 10th standard by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam.

There are 50 seats in  Joysagar B.Ed College  for admission. The applicants who are willing to take B.Ed admission in this college have to fill and submit the application form with the time period as mentioned by the college.

After successfully completion of form submission, the college will release the Selection List in PDF format on 29^th July 2023. The merit list is prepared by the college as per the selection procedures of the college. Usually, the merit list is prepared based on the rank obtained by the candidates in B.Ed CET 2023.

Selection Process for B.Ed Admission 2023

1. The Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Dibrugarh University will carry a maximum of 70 marks.
2. And the student’s career performance which carries a maximum of 30 marks (10% of the percentage of marks secured in HSLC, HS, Bachelor or Master Degree Examination).

Course Fee (B. Ed. 1st and B. Ed. 2nd Semester)

• Total amount of Fees for Student Teachers having Science as a Pedagogical Course : Rs. 58,800.INR.
• And the total Fees for Student Teachers without Science as a Pedagogical Course is Rs. 57,300.INR

Candidates having name in the merit list are able to take b.ed admission for the academic session 2023-25. There are many candidates who applied for B.Ed admission in NCTE recognised B.Ed college. But only the candidates who have good score and the name appears in merit list are able to take b.ed admission.
