For example: if a teacher has to teach about flowers, then the teacher will teach simply about the flowers first and then it’s various parts. Similarly, if a teacher has to teach about a particular state of a country the he/ she must give them a general picture or idea of the country and after that a detailed analysis of the state.

**3. Maxim of easy to difficult:**

Here in this technique the easy topic or subject matter has to teach first then the difficult ones. While using this maxim, the teacher should keep in mind the level of students. The teacher also keeps in mind the psychological level of students. A skill may be easy logically easy but it may be difficult psychologically. Thus, a teacher uses this maxim, easy to difficult.

The abstract ideas are difficult to understand for the children. So the teacher should first teach about the concrete things which we can see and touch. It is difficult for children to grasp the idea in abstraction so they have to teach from concrete things first. **5. Maxim of particular to general:**

In this maxim, the teacher first gives some particular examples to students. So that students learn certain principles and rules and the gives the general rules of the fact. For examples: rules of grammar are based on the principles of proceeding from particular examples or rules to general rules.

It is an important maxim of teaching. Children can understand easily about any concept as a whole rather than its parts. So a teacher uses this maxim where he/she presents the whole idea first and then proceeds to its parts. For example: while teaching a poem the teacher will read out the whole poem then he/she will explain the poem part by part.

In this maxim of teaching, the teacher helps the students to transform their knowledge from indefinite knowledge to definite one. And to clarify the doubts of the students.
