New Policy for LP & UP TET Recruitment 2023, DEE Assam

Assam Government will advertise for the recruitment of LP and UP teachers. The new selection criteria will be on the basis of marks in H.S, Graduation, diploma in elementary education and Teacher Eligibility Test. The Assam Cabinet has changed the teacher recruitment policy and Enhance Teacher Selection Criteria for Elementary Education. Assam LP and UP Teacher Selection Process 2023

Good news for the deserving candidates who are willing to be a teacher in Assam Government Schools. As per the cabinet decision of Assam Govt. The weightage for preparation of merit list has been change d. Now the candidates having good marks in the TET-CUM Recruitment exam have a fair chance to get selection in Teaching Job.

(“LP & UP Teachers Recruitment policy has been changed. The weightage for preparation of Merit list will be from HS (5%), Graduation(10%),  D.El.Ed(5%),  and TET(80%),.There will be no recruitment exam. Streamlining Teacher Selection for Class I to V

 Approval to amendment of Rule 3 of Schedule-I of the Assam Elementary Education (Provincialisation) Rules 1977 to improve selection criteria of teachers in LP and UP schools. The selection of teacher for LP school and for Class I to V shall be made as per the following proportion.

  1. 5% of percentage marks secured in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or equivalent examination
  2. 10% of percentage of marks secured in graduation – in case of candidates having major in any subject, the marks secured in that subject shall be taken into consideration.
  3. 5% of marks secured in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) Examination.
  4. 80% of the percentage of marks secured in TET, including CTET for lower primary schools.

The selection of candidates shall be equal to the number of vacanciee s.

Streamlining Teacher Selection for Class VI to VIlI

The selection of upper primary school teacher for teaching in Class 1 to Class 8 shall be – as per the following proportion.

  1. 5% of percentage marks secured in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or equivalent examination.
  2. 10% of percentage of marks secured in graduation- in case of candidates having major in any subject. The marks secure d in that subject shall be taking into consideration.
  3. 5% of marks secured in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or (B.EI.Ed) Examination.
  4. 80% of the percentage of marks secured in TET, including TET for upper primary schools.

The selection of candidates shall be equal to the number of vacancies in the TET-cum-recruitment test. The decision taken for Streamlining the recruitment process. And to ensure that deserving candidates should not be deprive d at securing teaching positions in schools.
